(as of Feb 02, 2025 14:31:15 UTC – Details) We believe kids get better at math with practice, resulting in confidence and positive attitude towards math that is required to excel in school.
This workbook provides kids with additional math practice that reinforces and complements what is taught at school. There are no pictures or word problems, and focus on mastery of basic addition and subtraction.
This workbook combines traditional addition and subtraction math problems, with number bond problems. Many elementary schools teach math using Number Bonds, and we want kids to have practice on both traditional math questions and number bonds to build fluency and speed in basic arithmetic.

Title: Excellent tool for older parents and grandparents who assist younger children with homework
Review: Very impressed by the illustration of pages, and simple instructions for each lesson. I was also impressed by the immediate use of the number line in comparison to other work books which mention the number line towards the end chapters or not at all. This work book is good for older patients or grandparents who haven’t had to assist with homework in several years.

Title: Good
Review: I don’t like how it’s so easy to catch on to the answers because of the ordering of the answers (ex. 5,6,7,8) would be answers to each question right next to each other. But this also could be too help kids learn about patterns. Overall good book to help.

Title: Encourages memorization and problem solving
Review: This book follows Common Core and the old way of doing math. Kids get to learn both. There is a lot of repetition so the kids memorize number facts. The problems go in order, so if you know what 5+5 is, you can figure out what 5+6 is. Once my son figured that out, he got very excited.

Title: What I was looking for.
Review: I wish they made more books like this, just straight out practicing math problems. I honestly ordered many different grade 1 math books and I hated most of them. Too many pictures and writings!!!!! But this one, I like!!!! My daughter did not get side tracked wanting to color the butterflies, count the stars, blah blah. Beginning to end, just problems!!!!!
