Title: Great little game set.
Review: We are a homeschool family, so I’m always on the lookout for educational games and ways to make learning fun. My 6 y/o is working on his addition and subtraction fluency, so this is an easy and fun game for him. He thoroughly enjoyed it. He insisted he play both types of games included, and, in fact, liked both. I think what really drew him in was the hammer! Haha! The quality of everything seems on par with the price point, and the educational value is definitely high. Great little game set.

Title: Awesome math game
Review: This game is fantastic. Especially if you want kids to learn math quickly. We play the game with our 3 year old son so he can recognize numbers too. It’s easy to learn. There is high amount of educational value in this product because the kids are learning while having fun! The durability is great because the cares are laminated. The cards are colorful. It’s a great purchase. I do wish there was more than three hammers to grab the cards, we have three kids and they fight for the hammer but it is a good purchase.

Title: Needs a little set up before use.
Review: The dice have to have stickers attached. Definitely need to read the instructions on this as it isn’t a game that is a “glance and play” type … I have to sit down and read how to play it. For a 5 year old it doesn’t seem as easy as it should be but once you figure it out then it should be a good learning tool/game.

Title: Looks like a really fun math toy!
Review: I made an error in ordering this a little ahead of when the kiddo will be ready for it, but after examining it I realize I can use parts of it already. While the whole game end-to-end requires a kindegarten/school age-kid, some of the concepts on the cards can be used by a toddler (counting, recognizing numbers, etc.). For when we are ready for the game, I like that this is more interactive than many math toys and has some physical / noisemaker element, so it feels more like a real game than just math practice.

Title: They Love It!
Review: My little kids ages 5 and 6 love this! They played the make ten game the most so far, and love that it is an interactive and gamified way to learn math! Hitting the answer (or answers) with a hammer is too fun, and turns a generally destructive type action and channels it into a fun game. They are in Kindergarten, and this is great for their age and grade level. I didn’t start them off on the games right away and instead let them each take a turn to answer each one for practice, and once they started getting good and fast, then we turned it into the game from the instructions.

Title: 2-Player Game
Review: This is a cute game and my littler kids and I enjoy playing it. We also sometimes switch off with the bigger kids/adults taking a couple turns for the younger ones. The cards sometimes cling to a table or hard surface when you hit them with the mallet, so playing on a placemat, tablecloth, or whatever, is recommended. The real issue I have with the game is that once you’ve claimed about half the cards for Make Ten, you’re stuck rolling and rolling until the right combination comes up. So we modify by doing things like rolling the animal die until an animal comes up that we still need, and then rolling the number die separately until all the cards with that animal are gone. Same type of issue with the Addition/Subtraction variation–you get stuck spinning over and over toward the latter end of the game.

Title: My 6-yr old, first grader loves using the hammer to choose the cards!
Review: The different game styles this allows fits perfectly with the math my daughter is learning in 1st grade. She thinks she’s playing a game when really we’re helping her build upon the lessons she’s learning in school

Title:
Review: This engaging and educational game offers children a fun way to practice addition and subtraction through three exciting play modes: Make Ten, Addition, and Subtraction. The included suction mallet grabbers add a unique “whack-a-mole” element, making the game even more enjoyable and interactive. However, it’s worth noting that the game may have limited long-term appeal, as once children have mastered the sums, there may be little opportunity for further progression.
