Title: Fun to play-Easy to learn
Review: Eight year old mastered the rules within one minute and “double shuttered” within one day. Six year enjoys playing and choosing which pieces to flip down.Incorporating options and new “house rules” with scoring. This game is a go-to for solitary play or family night fun.Helping to teach patience and perseverance – accepting the roll of the dice.

Title: Math can indeed be fun
Review: Double Shutter is a math-oriented game, where the player rolls the dice and then turns over 2 rows of “keys” where the numbers turned down (or shut) must equal the sum of the dice. It is a simple math-oriented concept that doesn’t feel “boring”. The game ends when the player cannot make the sum of the keys equal the dice – or the player turns over all the keys. If multiple people are playing, the one with the lowest total on the remaining keys wins. If it is a solo game, winning is technically when all the keys are turned over.We first received this toy as a gift for my son (age 6.5 and very good at math) from my brother, who had a friend recommend it since it was “Toy of the Year.” I have since given it twice to my son’s friends who are celebrating their 7th birthdays. My brother enjoyed it so much that he bought one for himself to keep at his office for stress relief.Things I like about it:Can be played alone or with multiple people.Great for reinforcing that 1+7 = 6+2 = 5+2+1, etc.Fast games.Adults love it perhaps even more than kids.Easy for kids and parents to play together.Comes in a good case for easy storage.Things I don’t like:It’s addictive!!!

Title: Wonderful game for all!
Review: I bought a couple of these for my second grade classroom and they were such a big hit that I wrote a grant to buy 10 more! This is a great game because it can be played individually or with others. It is a perfect activity for students to do when they finish work early! To play, you roll the dice and put down tiles that add up to the total on the dice. The object is to get all the tiles (or more than your personal high) by the end of the game. It is great for reinforcing addition facts. It is a lot of fun! My students love it and are addicted to it. I ended up buying a couple games to keep at home for my family as well and they are always out being played! The tin box is also great and holds up so much nicer than a cardboard box. Wonderful game!

Title: Fun and easy game for all ages.
Review: I had to file a missing package through the post office for the 1st one I sent 2/16. I had to order a second one which was received and my sister liked it. My daughter loved this game when we used it in physical therapy.Simple game. Roll the dice, knock up to 3 tiles down that add up to the dice. Keep going until all the tiles are down or you cant knock any down. The total number standing is your score. The person with the lowest score wins. Good for all ages.
