Title: 3rd grade
Review: This is perfect for teaching geometric nets of shapes – a 3rd grade standard. It also is great for showing the shape of the base to determine if it’s a square pyramid or triangular pyramid, etc. Great tool for teachers.

Title: Worth the price.
Review: I used this in class. Excellent way to make learning surface area a snap! The shapes are nice and large.These are also great for showing that 3 Cones make one cylinder. (V=1/3 Bh )The only difficulty I had was that thereare small cutouts in the top of the shape that prevent one from filling them to the top with water.

Title: Outstanding hands-on and visual presentation
Review: I purchased this more in dire need than as my typical “research the heck out of it”. I was not disappointed.Pros: Beautiful, clear geometric shapes with the folding nets that store inside. Excellent visual for a whole class: the triangular prism fits perfectly within the cube, and three of the square pyramids filled with rice filled the cube. The next day the students (7th grade) were still talking about it.Cons: The removable plastic “lids” (bases?) tend to pop off, and some of the nets are already trying to break the bounds of their respective 3-D shapes. The 8 cm side of the cube measures the same as the triangular prism and square pyramid – on the OUTSIDE. This is NOT helpful when you try to put 512 centimeter cubes within the 8 cm cube – they don’t fit. It was kind of a bummer not to be able to show that part of concept.Overall: I’m going to buy more of these so teams of students can use them. Even with the short-comings, these geometric shapes are the best I’ve found.

Title: Excellent learning aid for kids
Review: Great learning aid for kids, help them visualize different 3D shapes and after times, they develop their own spatial orientation. Comes in a box which is neat, clear plastic casing and soft rubber/silicone which has bright colour. Kids like it, parents too. Highly recommended.

Title: Hands On!
Review: I really love this resource for teaching geometry and nets. My only complaint is that it is so pricey that I could only get one set for all my students. As a result, we have to use them in small groups or centers. The shapes are well made and help those students that are struggling to visualize when it comes to 3-D shapes.

Title: Great for homeschool math
Review: These shapes are sturdy enough for home schooling or tutoring. I am not sure they would handle class room abuse. I used a sharpie to draw on the clear shape to show the layers for calculating volume. I had the students fll the large cube and pour them into the pyramid with the matching face and it shows perfectly how the volume od a pyramid is 1/3 of the cube. So much better then flat shapes in a book…..

Title: disappointed
Review: I was very disappointed with this kit. Part of my issues with it is the fault of amazon and not the product. It looked like it had been purchased then returned and resold. The box was damaged, the pieces were loose, the sticky tabs that are supposed to hold the pieces together during shipping had been half pulled off (leaving sticky spots), and there strands of hair in the box.That aside the pieces aren’t really what I expected. They don’t seem durable. The inside colorful pieces are a softer, textured plastic that has thin plastic pieces that function as ‘hinges’. These ‘hinges’ seem like they will wear out quickly with use. The outer clear pieces are a sharp, brittle plastic that seems like it would crack easily if dropped. Every one of the clear plastic pieces has sticky spots from the clear stickers. They would have to be scrubbed off, not something I want to take the time to do.This kit gets three stars from me because it’s unique and does a very good job at illustrating geometry concepts. The only other option is to make paper cutouts and do without the clear outer part (which is helpful). With older kids I might keep it and deal with the issues but my kids aren’t old enough yet to need something that shows volume relationships. In my opinion it’s too expensive for the quality so I’ll be printing out templates on sturdy paper to cut out paper shapes instead.

Review: Als Lehrerin achtet man auf gute Handhabung. Diese Produkt ist toll! Einerseits zeigt es die geometrische Form. Andrerseits auch das Körpernetz. Somit wird alles visualisiert und den SchülerInnen auch der Aufbau der Körper mithilfe des Netzes näher gebracht. Ideal für den Einsatz in der Schule und mit Kindern.
