Imagine a place where there’s a queen of all pancakes, a king of cookies and a pack of over-protective dragons. If this sounds like something out of a dream, it actually is! Sleeping Queens was invented by 6-year-old Miranda Evarts, who thought up the game one night when she couldn’t fall asleep. She awoke the next morning and with help from her older sister, Madeleine and her parents, Denise and Max created this wonderfully whimsical world of napping nobles. As you immerse yourself in the Evarts’s fantasyland, you will find a game that helps develop memory, strategy, and elementary arithmetic skills. Just be careful when playing potion cards or you could wind up putting all the players to sleep!
ADROABLE CARD GAME FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES: In this simple card game you play cards to wake up the sleeping queens. Discard cards or draw new ones, play actions and wake up 5 queens – or score the most points, to win!
STRATEGY, QUICK THINKING AND LUCK: Rouse the napping queens by playing Knight cards, or Jesters. Wake the most queens to win!
KID INVENTED: Sleeping Queen was created by a 6-year-old and was based on a dream she had!
LEARN CREATIVITY, IMAGINATION AND MATH! Kids learn to use their imagination and some math in this fun card game!
FAST AND FUN: Plays in 20 minutes!

Title: My 7 year old granddaughter loves this game
Review: We gave this to our 7 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It’s a little complicated but the directions are well written and she caught on very quickly. She grasped the strategic concepts and was adding together numbers like a pro. What a terrific game!

Title: great for all ages
Review: This was a fun game for the whole family, including my five year old daughter up to my 84 year old dad. It’s easy to learn how to play, and complex enough to keep the adults challenged and stimulated. On our Xmas vacation, this was the top game of the week for these reasons. When my kindergartener is explaining the gameplay to the rest of the adults (and then beating them), that’s a winner! She needed help with the addition equations, but it’s a great math application that’ll help her continue to learn.

Title: My four and five year olds LOVE this game! I love the math skills!
Review: This is the best kids’ card game ever. It is also are go-to birthday gift for friends’ parties. The game itself is a bit like Magic the Gathering for the shorter crowd. There are several cards that have specific roles that can be played to steal queens or block one from being stolen. The math skills are quite impressive, and my four year old learned her addition from playing this game. (You can add up cards to trade them in; the cards are numbers 1-10). My girls will play against each other on their own.I was skeptical at first that there would be too many rules for kids that are so young to remember. However, the love it because the pictures are so engaging and silly. Plus, if you have a girl that is a bit girly, she will love anything that is called “queens.” The caught on so quickly, and we can play for hours. It is much more entertaining for adults than other kids’ games. The game can become more complex as the kids age. For example, we have added our own variations for our older daughter as she has mastered addition and is moving on to subtraction. You can win by playing for four or five queens, or by points. (Each queen has a different point value). It is easier to play for 4 queens instead of playing to 50 because then you would have to add the face value of the queens and make strategic choices about which ones to steal.Another reviewer said that they have a hard time winning if they are playing with more than three people. The rules say to reduce the total point value or amount of queens to win based on the amount of people playing.Really, this is a great game! Small, easy to bring places, well made. We have had ours for months and don’t have a problem with card wear.

Review: Love the idea of the game and that it was invented by a family and I must say the game is very engaging for kids aged 7-8. The graphics are beautiful, too. Only disappointed in the quality of the cards, which are too thin and slippery and although we’ve only played about 20 times, they already look worn out on the edges.
